HONOLULU - Third Eye Blind fans shut out of an oversold Honolulu concert will be getting refunds.

Concertgoers waiting for Thursday night's concert were told the venue reached capacity.

According to promoter BAMP Project, it was given documentation to make it believe it had undersold the maximum capacity for the event. But fire officials turned some ticketholders away when the venue reached capacity.

The Republik is a fairly new concert venue.

The promoter apologized to affected fans and said refunds will be available, but minus service fees.
